Products I Recommend Work Smarter Not Harder

I’m not sure about all of you, but I tend to stick to what I’m use to using and I find myself to be stuck in my old fashioned ways. I see new products and think: yeah, that doesn’t work. And then realize how I’m only making things harder on myself. Does it sound like anyone you know? I use to swear by a mop and bucket. I have to say I will never go back to mop and bucket. STEAM MOPPING for me !I cant express enough how much I prefer this method. I use it in the areas I have tile! The temperature gets so high it kills bacteria without having to use chemicals. This particular one I like alot although you do have to stop to refill it a few times if you have a larger area. After mopping you just throw the pads to wash. Please note  I use distilled water on ALL my appliances.
My H20 5 in 1 mop!
Another prouduct I recommend is a DRY Swiffer sweeper especially if you have pets ! I'm not sure if you notice when you broom the dust is right back where you broomed. The Swiffer traps hair and dirt then I just swift it to one corner and vaccum up all the larger stuff that did not stick personally I like the X-large Swiffer and X-Large Swiffer DRY Sheets you see here below usually I have to order these online from Target or Walmart because they only carry the little one in stores. I buy back up sheets and they last me a pretty long time.   I've have a little swiffer as well but I just put that one in my kids bathroom because it's meant for a smaller area.

These are amazing Magic Erasers they are great if you are cooking and have any caked on food or grease that get stuck on your stove . Wait for stove or oven  to cool off then wet and squeeze out excess water and wipe away any cake on food with ease you'll see how amazing they are. I would not recommend using it on your wood cabinets or furniture. But amazing on the stove and oven without having to scratch of scrape off anything. Non abrasive.
And of course my Scrub Daddy Sponges
Family and friends come over and when they want to wash something off they always look at the sponge are like what is this? 😂 Its pretty funny because people are not use to this type of sponge. But it softens with hot water so if your like trying to wash off the inside of a cup and hardens with cold if you need to was off pots or plates with some stuck on food. The amazing thing is this sponge does not build up nasty smells or food bacteria like old sponges They are awesome. When cleaning your knives use the sharp edge facing outward so you dont cut up the sponge. Trust me friends I was stuck on old fashioned cleaning sponges and rags and they
would smell this has made things so much easier.  Out with the old in with the new..You will work smarter not harder when cleaning everyday messes 🥰

Last product for today is the microfiber rags I did not take a pic but are great for cleaning things like TV's , computers screens and stuff you dont want lint on. Or just for helping with streaking.

These products are my favorites and what works for me.

DIY Teacher Apprectaion Gift Idea

Here is a great DIY teacher appreciation gift I made for my daughters Kindergarten teacher last year.
You just add the cards that your child's teacher prefers my daughter always said "my teacher loves Dunkin Donuts coffee".  So this particular one was customized to her teachers favorite color because her favorite color was blue and she liked flowers. You could customize your own colors on the pot, flowers, grass and cards.
Lettering was made with my Cricut machine.I did include a printable with that gift that included my daughters picture and all about the teacher questions that my daughter filled out that ended up actually being kind of funny gift. Its says in one area My teacher always say? And my daughter wrote " Your brain is on vacation". So it pretty funny to see what the kiddos come up with makes a fun gift!

My under- the sink project

Ok back to the kitchen real quick

So I bought these little plastic drawers at Walmart and I made the labels myself with black vinyl and my Cricut label maker. It’s very convenient and stores all my Sponge Daddys (which I love) and these little dish scrubbers I buy have a dispenser you add soap to and are great for pots and pans. Last but not least, my magic erasers and microfiber cloths which are excellent to clean with by the way. The magic eraser is a charm for caked-on food just run it underwater, squeeze out excess water, and clean off your counter, oven or stovetop just wait till your stove or oven  has cooled off and watch it do its magic.  I never have to scrub or scrap the stuff that builds up on the stove this will save from buying expensive stove cleaners. This idea really helped me keep things in order under the sink. I really don’t like having anything down there besides my dishwasher soap, one roll of paper towels, and one countertop cleaner. I hate clutter so I keep it simple. I don’t like storing a bunch of cleaners under the sink. I also cut out a drawer liner and sized it to protect the wood underneath the sink. Once I label stuff in my home everyone automatically follows suit because they know now where things belong. Makes things run much smoother.

DIY Lego Table

Here's a Lego table I made for my daughter.
The products I used : Table from IKEA Lack coffee table which was not expensive at all. Four Lego base plates from Target which was the priciest items . And just some clear Gorilla glue. I  glued all four square base plates evenly on top of the table and I let it sit over night and now she has a comfortable spot to get creative with her Legos. You can choose different color base plates depending on you prefrence. 😊

My Vinyl Iron On DIY

What makes you Country
Ok, I was so excited today. I found out there's a country concert and yes Luke Bryan is going on his "What makes you country" tour and I just had to make myself a little special DIY project. My daughter found me a really soft super cheap tank top. I went and picked up the vinyl Iron on and I created a little idea on my Cricut design center. I was not sure how it would come out, but BAM I got myself something to wear. 😉

Removing Shoes ?

Here's is a biggie for some people-to remove or not remove your shoes at the door?

Some of us find it hard to ask our guests to remove their shoes because it may seem rude. I can only speak for myself and my household but after implementing this rule in my home its amazing at how much cleaner my home is and how much easier it is to keep it that way.
The act of removing shoes is not only for sanitary reasons; it's also a sign of respect. I expect whoever walks in my home to treat my home with respect the way I do.  We work hard for what we have, and if we don't respect it, then others won't either. Also, just picture how many places your shoes go where we pick up human and animal fecal matter, not including all other nasty things and chemicals that public restrooms, the street, and grass have. So for me, I feel better knowing my child can play on the floor and that we have a cleaner home. We keep disposable booties in case any workers need to come in. And actually, a lot of good companies come prepared with their own booties. I keep new fluffy socks in a basket in case family or friends come and would rather not be barefoot. So it's all a matter of preference. But for me and my family, its shoes off!  Here's a polite little sign I have outside my door that helps let people know we would like them to remove their shoes.

Kitchen Sink Dispensers

Wow, I really needed a break from that pantry for a bit. So here's a little project I did to keep the kitchen sink area looking neater and not have the usual clutter on top of the counter we usually tend to have. I bought the two dispensers at Target. I then labeled them myself with white vinyl using my Cricut label maker. The tray was also from Target, and I already had the sponge holder I had purchased on Amazon a while back.

Pantry

OK so here is a look at some of the snapware I used in the pantry to organize. I used three different sizes with the larger ones being for cereal. Then, the medium-sized ones I used for snacks like Cheez-It crackers, cookies, sugar, flour, arepa mix, and rice. The really small ones work great for small stuff like goldfish, pistachios, oyster crackers, candies, and small snacks you may want to keep fresh. As I mentioned before, it's still a work in progress. I've had these containers for a while I don't know if they carry them any longer, they are BPA free, but now there are so many options out there to choose from that are BPA free, airtight and different shapes, sizes, and styles all you have to do is find the ones that will fit your needs and fill them up with what you and your family eat. They are great for grains, beans and so much more. For those of you who want details as I do when I see an idea I like, I labeled these containers with chalkboard vinyl. I just bought a large roll of the chalkboard vinyl because I was going to label them with chalk. I used EK tools real estate sign punch to punch out as many as I needed. I ended up just using my label maker to label them. At the very bottom of the blog, you can find a link to the EK tool I used in case you have trouble finding it in your nearby craft store. I usually shop between Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Jo-Ann's Fabrics but at times I've had issues looking for stuff or trying to remember which store I bought from. 😞

Baskets, baskets and more baskets.

So, here is a closer look at my baskets project. As you can see it's endless the organizing and decorating you can do. I started in my pantry.  I just moved into my new home and could not wait to start on this project. Although I'm not done and it's still in progress I wanted to share with all of you all the details so far so as you can see how I bought baskets of different sizes for different things. I separated them into categories as needed. I labeled one basket for all my oils, vinegars, and cooking wines. I made one just for snacks to make it easier for the kids to get their snacks. The larger basket was for bottled water, which I just have on the floor in my pantry. There are other baskets that are on my previous post which you can see I labeled breads, pastas, bake goods, seasoning packages and breakfast (I made two of those). As you can see, they are all different sizes and shapes to fit my family's needs. I made the labels myself, but you can put any labels or tags you like.
